passwrod problem after moving db

Hi,

I copied the database files from a standard installation generated db from my
active server to a standby server. Windows NT, Oracle 8.0.5. When I try to start it on the standby server it complains about the SVRMGR>connect internal/oracle
logon failure.
When doing it on active server there's no problem. If a password file is used, how can find the name of it ? This is a standard simple installation with a minimum customization done. The servers are identical in terms of disks, directories. Looks like the same Oracle version is installed. What else can this depend on.
Appreciate any answer that can shed some light on this
