Some differences between UNIX & NT :
> You have to create your services via the oradim command.
> $ORACLE_HOME/dbs becomes $ORACLE_HOME/database
> prior to 8.1 lots of executables have different name. eg for 734
svrmgrl becomes svrmgr23
sqlplus becomes plus33 or plus33w
the same for certain dir's. eg. rdbms becomes rdbms73
In the basic NT-environment shell scripting is very limited ( when we compare with unix ) I personally use a NT-version of the unix-command's including een shell-emulator.
