We installed twice from the CD and it went very smooth, both on Solaris 5.6 and 5.7. The activation of InterMedia Text did neither work via dbassist nor via the generated script (we end up with ORA-00600 [17302]).

In the 5.7 install the partitioning option was not installed, and I don't know why. I tried a fresh install, but it did not help.
