I can tnsping80 from my client to my service....However when I try to use sqlplus it won't connect....

My server is called cs-dbserver, Service is XML, Database is XML...

The client sqlnet.trc file says it is looking up the ip address for cs-dbserver.comp-strategy.com......Is there anyway to get rid of domain portion....So that is just goes after cs-dbserver.....

                                                            Thanks Tim C
