Benny,

I administer a bunch of 8.1.5 instances on NT servers and numerous 7.3.x servers also on NT 4.

  1. Oracle Administrator Assitant hardly ever works for me.
  2. Do not know about "Legato Storage Manager". However I find that the Oracle Enterprise Tools in version 8.0.4 and 7.3.3 work always. I suggest that you get some quality DBA (sharware) tools such as Golden (www.benthicsoftware.com), TOAD, SQL Tools or EZSQL that work with many versions of Oracle on NT.
  3. If you really have 3 instances then in Control Panel/Services you should see something like:

OracleServiceORCL1
OracleServiceORCL2
OracleServiceORCL3

Also you might see multiple listener services.
