What does RAID 5 have to do with performance? I didn't think that Oracle knows anything other than a <device>. The RAID controller did the work. Also, wouldn't any inherent delay attributed to RAID 5 be something seen in any other transaction of any consequence? Should I be concerned about RAID 5?
