Re: Oracle Home (terminology)

• Your oracle_home is c:\oracle\ora81
• Which version of developer tools are you trying to install? If it is version 6.0 then there is a bug in it. The trick to get around it is to first install developer 6.0 in c:\orant and then oracle 8i in a different oracle_home, for example c:\orant\ora8i.
