Context-Cartridge with Oracle 8.0.5.2.0

Hello !

We have a Table with 1 million rows with a text-field ( 80 char ) and querying full-text with the like-operator. Searching something like '%XY%' causes a fulltable-scan.
Is this a case for the context-cartridge? and how could it be used?
