Archive log created every 2 minutes.

Hellow Gurus:

My database is running oracle 7.3.3 on AIX 4.2 is on archivelog mode.
Normally the redologs are switched for every 20 minutes. But for the last one week it is switching for every 2 minutes most of the times.So as a result it create lot of archive logs in the archive destination. It put additional maintenance as we have to do a frequent backup of archivelogs.
Can you guys experience these kind of problems. How can I recify that. Should I increase the size of the archivelogs . At present we have 4 log groups with 2 members each with a size of 30mb.

Any clues.
