Replication from 7.3.4 to 8.0.5 HPUX 10.2

I have been replicating successfully in developement and test but when I try in production I get the following

   ora-4068
   ora-4068
   ora-4063
   ora-6512

These would imply that the dbms_snapshot package is invalid. However this is not the case.
 The error occurs for a basic read only snapshot ( refresh fast with rowid )

 if I refresh with rowid ( A complete snapshot) i get a

    ora 1001 invalid cursor.

If I change the snapshot to a complex one by adding the line

    where rownum < 40000 ( the snapshot has 36000 rows) the snapshot is created successfully.

I am replicating from a 7.3.4.0.1 to 8.0.5.1 The master is Solaris the Snapshot HPUX10.2 Received on Tue Oct 12 1999 - 20:29:49 CDT
