I've heard a rumour that there are known problems in upgrading between
Oracle V7.3.4 to 8.1.6. Specifically, there may be an embedded SQL
syntax change between 7.3 and 8.1. Pending my receiving release notes,
has any one done an upgrade similar to this? What sort of problems did
you encounter?

In a previous Oracle upgrade we discovered that we had to massage our
makefiles to call the new & modified Oracle libraries.
