RECOVERY ERROR

On a NT4-machine I have restored a complete 7.3.4 online backup.

I mounted the database and renamed all the datafiles since they were not restored to their original location.

I performed recovery issuing 'using backup controlfile until time' and got the
message that media recovery was completed'.

However, when I try to alter the database files 'end backup' I get this error:
01208, 00000, "data file is an old version - not accessing current version"

Hence, the 'alter database open resetlogs' command is impossible due to files still in 'begin backup mode'.

It seams as if the recovery has note been applied to the renamed files, or it could
be that the fileheader is still not updated due to the online-mode.

How do I open the database without rolling forward until the 'end backup'-command
was issued??? Could create controlfile be an alternative here?

Hope you can help,
