I went back and tried to reinstall 8.0.5 but am now getting the same message from 8.0.5 too. As far as I can tell, everything is set up by the book. The user oracle belongs to the group dba, there's lots of available memory in the system, all the shm and sem parameters has been cranked up way above what's needed for Oracle etc etc etc. Received on Tue Sep 14 1999 - 02:39:39 CDT
