Perhaps it's not a sizing problem, but an offline/online problem ? Check if ALL rollback segments are online in the SYS2 sid (Oracle is 8.0.5) !!?
Also add all known rollback segments in the ora startup file Ver 7.3.3. syntax is :
ROLLBACK_SEGMENTS = (ROLLBSY, ROLLB11, ROLLB12, ROLLB21, ROLLB22, ROLLB31, ROLLB32) Perhaps the Oracle ver 7 turns them online by default, and ver 8 does not (?)
