Yes. With no problems.
By OFA, $ORACLE_BASE/product/7.3.3 and $ORACLE_BASE/product/8.0.5 may coexist.
I would suggest using the net8 listener for both - it works fine against 7.3.
(Solaris example): /var/opt/oracle/oratab has entries: ORA7SID:/opt/app/oracle/product/7.3.3:Y ORA8SID:/opt/app/oracle/product/8.0.5:Y
If you (or your users) want to be prompted for an $ORACLE_SID and (its attendant) $ORACLE_HOME at login, look at coraenv and oraenv.
Considerations (for most unix systems at least): Shared memory, semaphores, etc. in the kernel must be allocated as the total for both instances (if they are to run concurrently).
BTW: Why not Oracle 7.3.4?
