Hi there,

I have some troubles to get the listener running on my linux.

TNSLSNR for Linux: Version 8.0.5.0.0 - Production Log messages written to listener.log
Listening on: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=ipc)(DEV=5)(KEY=PNPKEY)) Listening on:
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(DEV=10)(HOST=192.168.0.99)(PORT=1521))

Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=ipc)(KEY=PNPKEY)) TNS-12224: TNS:no listener
 TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
  TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error    TNS-00511: No listener
Linux Error: 111: Connection refused Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(PORT=1521)(HOST=Server1)) STATUS of the LISTENER

Alias LISTENER
Version TNSLSNR for Linux: Version 8.0.5.0.0 -
Production
Start Date 30-JUN-99 20:39:29
Uptime 0 days 0 hr. 0 min. 6 sec
Trace Level off
Security OFF
SNMP OFF
Listener Log File listener.log

The listener supports no services
The command completed successfully

If I run SQLPLUS then I get ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failur. I know that the proble must come from my listener configuration, I don't see any problem in my listener.ora file. Since I am new to ORACLE and linux, how do I solve this problem here? Thanks.
