1)Does Oracle 8i necessarily require Net8 and if it does is there
  a specific release of Net8 (eg. 8.1.5) that it requires at a minimum ?



2)If we do not intend to use any Oracle 8i features, can SQL*Net be used
  in conjunction with 8i ?
