Experience of Oracle and NT mirror sets

Hi,

is there anyone who has been running an Oracle database on NT using mirrored disks. I'm considering to mirror the database over two physical UW SCSI disks using NT's disk manager, not using any hardware RAID system.

The database is mainly used for storing data continously (normally 20 records added/second at around 128 bytes each), so the write load is not very heavy. The querys against it usually never includes more than 3 hours of data.

I assume that reading from a mirror set only reads from one physical disk, so reads should never experience performance hits, right?

Anyone got an opinion?

// Johan
