I guess I should mention that I'm running 7.3.4.

Yes, I have write access, and, I can write out a file if I use a 'w', rather than an 'a'. The file is either created, or it's former contents overwritten and my latest output appears fine. I just can't seem to get 'a' to work when I open the file.
