Can you export snapshots?

Hi,



We are having severe network problems here with creating large snapshots. As
a work-around, we are considering creating the snapshots on a local
instance, then exporting them to the remote instance. I have 2 questions:



    
  
  1.   Is this possible?

  
  2.   Is this feasible?
