I need to create a new database instance of Oracle 7.3 on Solaris.

I created a copy of the initORCL.ora and configORCL.ora and renamed them as initTEST.ora and configTEST.ora. Then I replaced all reference to ORCL with test.

Thereafter when I launched server manager and ran the STARTUP NOMOUNT PFILE command i got an error.

Please could someone tell me where I am going wrong.

The ORCL instance has 3 mount points.

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.
