I have been trying to install Oracle Enterprise 8.0.5.1 for Linux on a RedHat 6.0 (2.2.5) installation. Unfortunately, svrmgrl does a core dump (SIGSEGV). I have just gone through a custom install with the same problem. The executable is new (linked during install). My next step will be to go back to RedHat 5.2 (2.0.26?). I had no problem there with Oracle Server 8.0.5. If that works, I shall then upgrade back to RedHat 6.0 and see if the Oracle executables linked under RedHat 5.2 still work.
