Because hot backup mode merely freezes the SCN # of the oracle blocks for the tablespace in question. When the tablespace is taken out of hot backup mode, the SCN's are updated. Changes in oracle are not controlled by system time (OS time) the SCN's govern the sequence of when things happened. David Lai wrote in message <37128413.279875CB_at_VERITAS.com>...
