hmm, I managed to install oracle 8.0.5 with the ODBC drivers
on NT4.0 workstation (SP3). maybe You were trying an earlier
version?



BTW, do  You need the ODBC anyway? try the custom
installation path. just install the server, documentation if You like,
SQLNet, SQLplus, and download an actual (free) ODBC driver from
technet.oracle.com!
