I've run into that problem also. Don't know how to fix it or what causes
it, but one work-around, if you can get *any* installer (maybe a v7?) to
install its installer on the hard drive, then run the installer from
your hard drive, which usually works. I encountered the problem mostly
with v8 on Win95, but couldn't pin down the cause.
