All,

We are using an internal bequeth connection to connect to our database, not sqlnet.

After about 2 hours the program just disconnects from the application and reports an ORA-03114 Not Connected to Oracle and then an ORA-01041 internal error. HOSTDEF extension does not exist.

We have programmed the application using C++ and Pro*C. We run on Digital Unix 4.0D with Oracle 7.3.2.3 Server. The Pro*C code uses Oracle Multi-threaded Contexts.

Does anyone have any idea as to why Oracle would just disconnect out of the blue ?
Has anyone seen this before ?

Thanks in advance,
