Oracle Traffic through A Firewall ?

Can anyone give advice on establishing
an oracle client / server connection through a firewall ?]

The fire wall has ports 1551, and 1556 open for tcp/udp traffic. The client, has tnsnames defined to use ports 1551, and 1556. The Server has listner.ora defined to use ports 1551, and 1556.

A tnsping traverses from the client to the server through the firewall correctly.

However, once the connection has been accepted on the server, oracle chooses an application port that is not open on the firewall.

Is there any way to configure the application ports for oracle in a range?

Thanks in advance,
