general direction for Oracle high-availability/failover system

I will be the DBA to implement a high-availability/failover system (AIX and Oracle) using a shared disk array and backup server. Can anyone point me to some good resources, articles, scripts, etc., specific to failover systems, to to help me get started? Obviously, I have never done this before.
