This isn't an area that there is much reference material available on, unfortunately. I've seen some good stuff internally in training our consultants get, and the Oracle8 version of the OPS manuals are really excellent (technical hat on, here, not my marketing one!).

I'd suggest you get someone involved who's done this sort of thing before (whether from Oracle or not), because there are quite a few traps for young players. I've been to a number of sites I've had to tell them that their badly performing application on an SMP box is going to perform worse under OPS (this will probably change fairly radically with the cache fusion technology coming out soon).

First thing to look at is your reason for moving to OPS - performance or availability. Then you need to look at how you can partition your applications to minimize pinging. There's a lot involved, so make sure you get someone with experience to help out.
