Hi all,

I'm just getting started with Oracle's 30 day evaluation version for NT, and I'm a bit overwhelmed by my options. I'm looking for suggestions of books, ducumentation, and advice in general. I've created a database, but I can't connect to it to see it. If I can get past that part, and can interact with it using JDBC, then I'll be ok, as I've done a fair bit of work that way using Sybase's server. I'd like to order some books, I'm on a small island, far far away from the nearest technical bookstore, so I can't run down there and find what I need. I hate to order blindly, so I'd appreciate recommendations. I'm looking for a "To get started, do this then this then this" sort of book. I'm not so much looking for books on what to do after everything is working and talking to each other.

Thanks for any help,
