There are some good ones out there; the real catch is that you can shoot yourself in the foot if you do not have a good understanding of the underlying architecture. Just like asking for a good hammer and saw. In the hands of a master carpenter beautiful things can be built; but the best hammer and saw will not do some of us any good. The performance tuning tools are most valuable as tools not as genies.
