Well, NT has many more restrictions and limitations.

If you want a high-performance system in an Intel environment, go with Linux. I've read of tests where a Linux based P5-133 with 32MB RAM outperformed a P2-400 with 256MB RAM running NT.

If stability and/or recoverability is a concern, stay away from NT in all regards.
