Hi,

  1. true
  2. Only if you know what you are doing !
  3. Depents on the type of the backup, I don't know how Seagate handles online backups on oracle. Backup Software is often buggy when it takes online backups (dosn't do logswitches after backup, it writes archive redo logs to tape only if there are about 6 logs in filesystem -> right, when logswitches occur every 5 minutes, but when in one week there where only three ???).
  4. NCR Unix + Oracle is also ok. NetV2 must running.
