Either I don't undersatnd your question or you are confused about partitioning under Oracle 8.

  1. Create your new partitioned table with 50 partitions.
  2. Load your data (you don't need the partition PK to do this).
  3. Create your PK and other indexes, local indexes are generally better -- but depends on your application.

What's the problem???
