Thanks for the response. I know Oracle8 uses the (+) syntax for outer joins, but I was wondering if it also supported the ANSI 92 standard join syntax. I ask because I'm developing a database application that uses ODBC to attach to a myriad of databases, and so far, Oracle is the only one I've encountered that doesn't seem to support the ANSI 92 (INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, OUTER JOIN) syntax. Are there any settings that control this behavior on the server side?
