Database Instance not starting w/Oracle 8 NT

I created a database without using the Oracle Database Assistant, and when I reboot the machine, that database doesn't automatically start up. I can't see any significant differences between this databases' init.ora and the init.ora generated by the ODA.

I'm used to Unix where I just stuff an entry into /etc/oratab. What could I have missed here?

Thanks.
