What does Oracle think O/S block size is?

There are a couple of parameters in initSID.ora that are set using O/S blocks instead of Oracle blocks such as LOG_CHECKPOINT_INTERVAL.

I have a Sun box with Veritas volume manager installed and the Unix admins here can tell me that the Veritas block is 8K and they think the underlying o/s block size is 1K. Because of the confusion, I can't be sure exactly what the LOG_CHECKPOINT_INTERVAL really is.

Is there a way from within Oracle determine what Oracle thinks the o/s block size is? Received on Fri Jul 10 1998 - 19:53:04 CDT
