UNRECOVERABLE for snapshots?

Is there a way to execute something like, CREATE SNAPSHOT ... UNRECOVERABLE, so snapshot creation doesn't hit redo logs (analagous to CREATE INDEX ... UNRECOVERABLE)? In our situation, the snapshots can be recreated instead of attempting to recover them. Thanks.
