Database with large number of schema objects

Among several options that we have for a specific problem, one solution calls for dynamically creating additional schema objects (mainly tables) Over time the number of tables would be 10,000+

I am looking for information on the potential effects of a large number of schema objects on database performance or any other aspect of database administration and usage like backup, archival etc.

Any experiences with databases with large number of schema objects ?
