So db verify is used to validate an Oracle database file. Now
it only works with data that can be cached in the SGA. Ok, cool,
but what about the rollback segment blocks? They exist in the SGA,
but the contents can be considered out of date because they are
temporary areas. To me this would imply that you shouldn't execute
db verify on the rollback segment files. Of course if db verify only
validates the headers, then it would be ok to use on the rollback
segment files. The documentation is sparse on db verify.
Comments please.
