Accessing v$latch via a db link...

I experience a 'not so funny' problem :



I create a db link to do a remote query on v$ views. I can query
v$parameter, v$latch_parent, .... but when I do a 'SELECT * FROM
V$LACTCH_at_host' : no reply at all and I must shutdown sql*plus...



Weird !!! Any ideas ?
