Tablespace usage question....................................................................................................................................

The question I have deals with table space allocations within a tablespace.

Lets say I have a tablespace allocated with 3 datafiles of 100M each (total of 300 M). I have found that if I have a table whose primary allocation is 120M, I'll have problems because the primary size is greater than one of the datafiles. So I have determined that the primary space must be held within a single datafile.

My main question is, for a given table, that goes into multiple extents, can those extents be in different datafiles within the tablespace ? Received on Mon Mar 30 1998 - 00:00:00 CST
