Oracle on Unix problem

We are running Oracle ver 6 on a unix v386 release 3.2 machine.  We made
a sector for sector copy of the hard drive to andother external hard
drive.  After plugging the second hard drive into another machine Unix
will run but oracle will not mount.  We get an ORA-00060 error
(something about a deadlock).  



Any help would be appreciated.
