There is point-in-time recovery available by the tablespace in Oracle8 but it must be done through Server Manager and ther emay be some pre-recovery work that ahs to be done in the OEM Recovery Manager. This feature is so brand new that you may not find much if any int he docs. Oracle always takes a while to get the new-fangled stuff into their docs. Why?? Good question
