The only way I know of to change the SID is to re-create the controlfile.



    
  
  1.   backup control file to trace, this file goes in the User Dump
Destination identified in the init.ora file.  
  
  2.   Copy this file to an appropriate location, change the SID in the file
  
  3.   Shutdown the datbase
  
  4.   Backup the database, init file, datafiles and the trace file.
  
  5.   Startup nomount and run the controlfile.
