OCI and 7.3.2.2.0 Workgroup server

Is it possibile to develop C based OCI apps
using the Solaris X86 7.3.2.2.0 workgroup 
server? There are a bunch of demo oci apps
in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo. 



When I try to do a make on cdemo1 


(make -f oracle.mk cdemo1)


it complains it can't find other oracle make
files (.mk files) that I apparently don't have.
