Hi Lance,
i 've made sveral benchmarks on several CPU's (Rs6000 5x, J40, SGI, HP) I found that a smaller SGA resultet in faster benchmarking for our data. Possible reason: Filesystem cache works more efficient that Oracle-file-buffers.
Try with a small SGA!
