pragma interface compiler directive

The dbms_pipe.sql script (among others) in ?/rdbms/admin uses the pragma
interface compiler directive.  I cannot find any documentation in my
PL/SQL manuals on this directive.  Does anyone know how it works?



Only being curious really, but if it allows you to link in functions
from C programs it could be useful.
