Prab,
This is a known bug. Oracle has the bug number and it occurs when trying to create a large index or sort/group and large amount of data. On v7.1.6 there is a patch that kind of fixes the problem. I don't have my notes with me now but if you still have the problem and can't get help e-mail me and I will send you the bug number. BTW- it is on Solaris.
