I want to play with some Oracle data warehouse features on my PC (OpenSuse 10.3); to do so, I downloaded the Enterprise Edition of the database server, and the Oracle Warehouse Builder from the OTN.
Unfortunately the installation fails, because the software seems to require SUSE enterprise edition (OWB checks that explicitly, while the DB server installer complains about missing libraries - some of which I think I have already installed).
Has anybody experience with this kind of task? Is there any chance to trick the packages so they will install? Is there a reason to hope it will work with a later OpenSuse version?
BTW, the express edition of Oracle 11 installs from the RPM without problem. Only, it is lacking all those features that I want to test.
